Radical Love: The Haley House Documentary

This summer I enjoyed the company of ten peers from Northeastern University while we completed a program at the ever-inspiring  Burren College of Art.  We spent nearly all of our time together between our communal cottage and the art studio that we shared.  The topics of our conversations were often related to universally concerning issues of environmental sustainability and the rights of all beings. During one of these conversations, my friend Rachel inquired if I had ever been to the Haley House in Roxbury. When I said that I hadn’t she replied, “I feel like if we lived in an alternate universe, I would’ve met you there.”

Now that I’ve returned stateside, have learned more about their philosophy, and have experienced their open mic nights that sing my soul in the title alone, Art Is Life Itself, I can definitely see where she was coming from!!!
