June 17th: Back to Camping Zeeburg

Last week was amazing and my second week’s stay at Camping Zeeburg is different but good different.  If last week’s beautifully laid back vibe reminded me of a weekday working at Three Rivers Whitewater [shameless plug] in the fall, I’ve heard this week will be comparable to peak summer season. Here that means that 800 people will be posted up between the campgrounds, camper stations, wagonettes, and eco-cabins this week with peaks of 1400 guests soon after! A special highlight of the week: The Mayor of Amsterdam will be here on Wednesday to celebrate the opening of the new grounds and expansion of the facilities. (How cool is that? I know, so cool. It’s Amsterdam.)

For starters, one big difference between this week and last for me is that I’m no longer sleeping on the hard ground but here in the green eco-cabin.  – Enter Angel Choir –
